All My Sons is a new show on sale at the Rose Theatre, Kingston. This tale of love, guilt & the power of greed is by Arthur Miller and was the play which was his first big Broadway success. This is the 1st time that the Rose Theatre has a show by this writer, as part of their American season.
All My Sons tells the story of Joe Keller, who knowingly sells defective airplane engines to the USAF in World War II. The faulty engines inevitably lead to deaths of pilots, but instead of taking the blame, Joe blames his business partner. He is forced to see the consequences of his behaviour when he receives a visit.
Arthur Miller is an award-winning playwright who is also the playwright behind Death of A Salesman, The Crucible and A View From The Bridge.
Theatre Director, Michael Rudman’s distinguished career includes AD at the National Theatre under Sir Peter Hall and AD of the Lyttleton Theatre, where he directed Miller’s Death of a Salesman. He also directed the play on Broadway with Dustin Hoffman and John Malkovich, winning a Tony Award for best revival.
