Emilia Clarke

Emilia Clarke, best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones will make her West End debut in The Seagull playing at London’s Playhouse Theatre from 11th March to 30th May 2020. She also starred in Solo: A Star Wars Story and Terminator Genisys and on stage in New York in Breakfast at Tiffany’s in 2013.

The Seagull will be directed by Jamie Lloyd and is the second in his series at The Playhouse Theatre following Cyrano De Bergerac with James McAvoy which is running until 29th February 2020 and preceding A Doll’s House which begins it’s run in June and is to star Jessica Chastain (also in her West End debut).

The Seagull by Anton Chekhov, dramatises the romantic and artistic conflicts between four characters – a story writer, a playwright, his fading actress Mother, and the endearingly innocent Nina.

Clarke takes on the role of Nina with further casting still to be announced. Anya Reiss will update the script.

The Seagull tickets will be on sale in the new year.
