Evita, one of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s most famous, and considered by some to be the finest, is opening in the West End in October, but for only 55 performances, closing on the 1st November.
The stars of this musical are Marti Pellow as Che and Portuguese actress and singer Madalena Alberto as Eva Peron. The Independent, The Guardian and The Sunday Express have all given this production 4* reviews, and The Stage has declared “I defy anyone who sees this production to say they have seen a better one”.
Obviously, the most famous song from Evita is Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, but others include On This Night of a Thousand Stars, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, Oh What a Circus and You Must Love Me.
