Half a Sixpence

Half a Sixpence at the Noel Coward Theatre will definitely close in London on Saturday 2nd September, after extending the initial limited season twice due to it’s ongoing popularity with audiences. This production was presented at the Chichester Festival Theatre last summer and was a massive success, such that it transferred to the West End at the end of its time at Chichester. This is a reinvention of the original musical and has won much acclaim for the production and the cast. Half a Sixpence also received several award nominations for Olivier Awards this year. The starring role of Arthur Kipps made Tommy Steele a household name 54 years ago and newcomer Charlie Stemp has also become a star playing this role, with his sensational award-winning performance.

When this show eventually comes to the end of its run at the Noel Coward Theatre later this year it will be the longest every running West End transfer from the Chichester Festival Theatre since Singin’ In the Rain.

Half a Sixpence tickets are currently on sale from the give-away price of just £16.00.
