Gloria

We have new shows at the Hampstead Theatre – not the West End, but nonetheless worth a visit. Very easy to get to using the underground on the Jubilee Line – did you know that the Jubilee Line is the only tube line that crosses every other – so even if you are not close to the Jubilee directly, it couldn’t be easier to get on to!

Anyway, to business – new shows! Gloria, set in New York where ambition and coffee may be the main two fuels that NY runs on!

This comic-drama from Branden Jacobs-Jenkins is the tale of a Manhattan magazine, ambition, office politics/warfare, and selling out to the highest bidder!

Gloria, directed by Michael Longhurst (Amadeus, Bad Jews, Constellations) was a Pullitzer Prize finalist in 2016 in the category of drama.

Gloria tickets are on sale now, booking for a short run between 15th June and 22nd July 2017, with tickets currently starting at £24.

Our second new show at the Hampstead Theatre is Filthy Business, set in East London in 1968. Ryan Craig’s new family comedy portrays the story of entrepreneurial spirit overcoming all sorts of obstacles including lack of cashflow, the economy, competition and then finally, family. This play also examines more closely the role of entrepreneurial “outsiders” becoming part of the economic heart of modern Britain.

Ryan Craig’s other theatre credits include The Holy Rosenbergs, Our Class and What We Did To Weinstein. This new show is directed by Edward Hall, who has directed Chariots of Fire, Wonderland, Rabbit Hole and Sunny Afternoon.

This production is kindly supported by the Filthy Business Giving Circle.

Filthy Business tickets are now on sale, for a run at the Hampstead Theatre between 10th March and 22nd April, with tickets currently starting at £24.
