Bond in Motion

The Bond In Motion exhibition is open at the London Film Museum, through until December this year. This is the largest official collection of those infamous James Bond vehicles and more.  The exhibition not only features vehicles, but also a huge range of artefacts covering all 24 (YES! 24) Bond movies. These artefacts include miniatures, concept art & storeyboards. The Bond series of movies first hit the cinemas in 1962 with Dr No and with 23 subsequent films and 6 famous actors portraying Bond, James Bond.

However, some of the most visited items will undoubtedly be those iconic cars, including such icons as the Aston Martin DB5 from Golden Eye; the Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me; the Rolls Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger; and who could forget “Little Nellie” Wallis WA-116 Agile autogyro from You Only Live Twice.  Which one is your favourite from the “old” movies?

One amazing reason to visit is to see the never seen before vehicles, props, models and costumes, plus all the cars from Spectre. THAT DB10 from Sectre is there, alongside the stunt damaged Jaguar C-X75 – I think the damage moment of that car was a moment in the film to almost bring tears!! All of the vehicles on display are the originals used in the films, and most of them are on loan from EON Productions and the Ian Fleming Foundation.

I think if you are either a Bond fan or a “petrol-head” with a love of iconic vehicles this exhibition is one to visit.  With the London Film Museum being located in Covent Garden (behind the London Transport Museum) it couldn’t be easier to get to, and additionally it can be incorporated in a London day out too.  Bond in Motion Exhibition adult tickets are just £14.50 with concessions and children at just £9.50.
