Men In Motion, is, as it’s title may suggest, an exploration of the history of men in dance over the last century. The show was first presented at Sadler’s Wells, but has since been performed with huge success in Moscow, and the Ravenna Festival in Italy. The show is the inspiration of Ivan Putrov, who has developed his ideas since the first performances and has revealed some fascinating pieces of choreography highlighting the abilities of the male dancer, whilst also collaborating with some of the most significant male dancers of this generation.
In this production, at the London Coliseum, there are an amazing number of current acclaimed dancers, including Edward Watson, Vadim Muntagirov, Marian Walter, Daniel Proietto, Marijn Rademaker and Yonah Acosta. The celebration of male dance over the last 100 years brings us two iconic works – L’Apres-midi d’un Faune and Le Spectre de la Rose – and finishes with the dynamic and celebrated Two x Two by Russell Maliphant. You will also be treated to a new creation by Arthur Pita creator of Metamorphosis.
Overall, this show will portray favourites and dazzling new discoveries, which will surely enlighten as well as entertain the audience.
