We are pleased to have tickets for the King’s Head Theatre’s upcoming new show The Book Club. This show is scheduled for a very limited run from the 11th October through to the 5th November only. Tickets will be popular, so we would advise buying The Book Club tickets now.

Of course men go through the menopause – it’s not called MENopause for no reason! But nobody talks about it do they?  Deborah Martin recognises that men go through the menopause – maybe better known as a mid-life crisis, who knows! Whatever it is called, he is definitely going through it as he strives to regain his youth, without the inclusion of his wife Deborah.  When she finds herself alone in her nest, with nobody to share her space with she turns to her books. Immersing herself in her books with fantasies about great authors, and what she would like to do with them if she ever met them.  With her interest in books, her friend suggests she should join their book club and, even though she has tried not to join the book club for years, Deb is eventually persuaded. It turns out to be the right decision after all, she meets new people, a wonderful new group of women from all walks of life, but also actually turning on of her fantasies into reality becomes a real possibility.

The location of the King’s Head Theatre Pub is also something different. Located on trendy  Upper Street in Islington, this location is a theatre pub; famous for being a theatre, founded in 1970, but also offering drinks in a pub, with a roaring fire and live music.

This hilarious comedy production will be directed by Nadia Tass and Amanda Muggleton will bring Deb to life on stage.
