The Kite Runner will have previews on 21st December to 9th January 2017 and we have tickets on sale for a very limited run from 21st December through to 11th March 2017. The play will be at Wyndhams Theatre on Charing Cross Road, London.

The stage production is based on the best-selling novel by Khaled Hosseini.  It follows the haunting story of friendship across cultures and continents, set in Afghanistan.

Two childhood friends cannot foresee that the excitement and participation at a kite flying tournament will cause them to be torn apart, and their young lives changed forever.

The play is brought to the stage for its West End Premiere at the Wyndhams Theatre, directed by Giles Croft and starring Ben Turner (Casualty) who also starred in The Kite Runner’s UK tour production which was co-produced by Nottingham Playhouse and Liverpool Everyman.  This production toured the UK and was nominated for a WhatsOnStage award.

Talking about the play, Ben Turner said “There’s something almost Shakespearian about this story, the things it deals with are so big. It’s betrayal, revenge, redemption.”  “On stage, the story can’t help but suck an audience in. You can hear a pin drop and weeping in the audience. People are obviously deeply affected by it.

This is a strictly limited run for this play at Wyndhams Theatre and whilst we have only had tickets on sale for a few days we are already selling well.  Don’t miss this incredibly powerful story.
