Kenneth Grahame wrote The Wind in the Willows book in 1908 but it is still one of the most favourite of children’s story books. The story has some very endearing characters such as Mr Toad who lived at Toad Hall [ A. A. Milne – author and creator of Winnie the Pooh – adapted a part of the book using this character for the stage as Toad of Toad Hall in 1929. Other characters include Mole, Ratty, Badger, Otter and the weasly Weasles. The setting is the countryside along the banks of the River Thames, so it is only fitting that this musical should appear on the banks of that very same river.

The 2016 stage version of The Wind in the Willows will be on the stage of the Rose Theatre, Kingston, from 6th December 2016 through to 3rd January 2017.
