We are now on sale with tickets for Stepping Out at the Vaudeville Theatre from 1st March to 18th June 2017.

We are in “dance mood” at this time of the year with the return of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and Stepping Out tells the story of 7 ladies and 1 gent trying to tap their troubles well and truly out of their lives at their weekly dance class. Vera, Maxine, Andy, Sylvia, Dorothy, Lynne, Rose and Geoffrey are joined by the dour Mrs Frazer on piano and ever-patient Mavis as they progress and tell their tales.

The cast for this very funny comedy play is led by Amanda Holden who is joined by Angela Griffin (Waterloo Road, One Man, Two Guvnors); Nicola Stephenson (Waterloo Road, War Horse); Tracy-Ann Oberman (Eastenders, Casualty ) and Tamzin Outhwaite (Eastenders, New Tricks) with further cast announcements yet to be made.  The play was written in 1984 by Richard Harris and this production will be directed by  triple Olivier Award winning director, Maria Friedman.

In 1984 Stepping Out won the Evening Standard Comedy of the Year Award and was subsequently made as a musical film in 1991 starring Liza Minnelli and Julie Walters.
