We are very excited to announce that we have Radio City Christmas Special tickets on sale now – at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. Starring the world famous Radio City Rockettes this show features their world-renowned high kicks and amazing choreography.
The Rockettes, who are a dance company founded in 1925, have performed at the Radio City Music Hall in New York since 1932. For the Christmas and New Year period they perform an amazing 5 times a day, seven days a week. Chorus line dancing, with perfect timing and eye level high kicking is probably the best known part of their routine, and this is the finale of each and every performance.
Such is their renown that they hold annual auditions during April, in New York City, and usually they have between 400 and 500 ladies who audition to be part of this extraordinary dance troupe. The style of dance includes a wide range, but is a mixture of both modern dance styles and classic ballet, and those who are successful at joining the troupe must be proficient in a range of dancing techniques and styles, including ballet, tap, modern and jazz.
Along with their annual Christmas spectacular, which is one of the most watched live performances in the US, there are other shows that are performed by a touring company of the Rockettes, and they perform at Mac’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and at the Rockefeller Centre Tree-Lighting ceremony.
