An American in Paris opens at the refurbished Dominion Theatre in March 2017. This is an award-winning Broadway musical features stunning dancing and amazing music and lyrics. It is performed by over fifty actors, dancers and musicians and previously played a sold-out run at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris and then it became the most awarded musical of the year on Broadway.
The story is that of Jerry Mulligan who is an American GI trying to make his way in the arts world as a painter. He meets a beautiful young dancer called Lise and of course friendship, love and romance follow in the days after the war. Featuring many songs by George & Ira Gershwin such as I Got Rhythm and George Gershwin classics Concerto in F and An American in Paris.
Joining the previously announced cast will also be award-winning Broadway stars Robert Fairchild (as Jerry Mulligan) and Leanne Cope (as Lise Dassin) will be Haydn Oakley as Henri Baurel, Zoë Rainey as Milo Davenport, David Seadon-Young as Adam Hochberg and Jane Asher as Madame Baurel. Ashley Day will be the alternate Jerry Mulligan (and will assume the role from Monday 19 June 2017).
