OVO - Cirque du Soleil

Last year Amaluna was a huge success at the Royal Albert Hall, next year it is the turn of another Cirque du Soleil show, OVO. This show has already been a global success since its premiere in Montreal in 2009. In 2013 the show was in Sydney, in the Big Top. Later this year will see the European premiere, followed by a run again at the Royal Albert Theatre in London.  Currently we have tickets available from 7th January to 11th February 2018.

OVO is the word for egg in Portuguese and the show portrays a magical, colourful ecosystem which is full of life, a life where insects work, eat, crawl, flutter, play, fight and seek out love. This all happens in an energy and movement filled environment. The story is magical, the performances are amazing, and when the mysterious egg appears the curiosity of the insects is wonderfully portrayed.

It has recently been announced that included in the cast of 50 performing artists, coming from 17 different countries, will be Alanna Baker from Greater London who will play the role of the Black Spider in the show.  Alanna Baker was the European Champion gumnast in 2011 and won a Bronze medal in the 2012 World Gymnastics Championship. Having travelled the world with the Cirque du Soleil, she will return to London, her home, as the Black Spider.

Trust us, we believe this is absolutely one not to miss – our tickets are already booked, even though we saw this amazing show in Sydney in 2013 – it is most certainly worth another watch, and would rank, for us, up there along with “O”. Do not miss this spectacular show at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
