We have a new show, She Loves Me at the Menier Chocolate Factory, now on sale, with tickets available from 25th November 2016 through to 4th March 2017.
The two clerks who work in Maraczek’s Parfumerie, Amalia and Georg, are not particular friendly, but they have something in common – romantic pen friends. Their very existence revolves around the love letters they send and received and they are desperately awaiting the day they will meet their distant friends.
A lovely love story, one on which The Shop Around The Corner and You’ve Got Mail have both been based. This musical version – with music written by the authors of Fiddler on the Roof – has been on stage and enchanting theatre-goers since first appearing on Broadway in 1963. The songs include the likes of Ice Cream and A Trip to the Library.
Direction will be from Matthew White, who previously directed Candide & Sweet Charity amongst others, on the stage of the Menier Chocolate Factory.
The cast will include Scarlett Strallen who is also returning to the Chocolate Factory after appearing in Candide. Scarlett has also appeared in A Chorus Line, Singin’ in the Rain and Mary Poppins. Scarlett appeared in Mary Poppins both in the West End and on Broadway.
