Corduroy arrived on the Acid Jazz scene in early 1992. Self-styled as the Fabric Four, they cut a striking presence with their soundtrack for the beatific generation.
Their trilogy of albums on Acid Jazz Records, "Dad Man Cat", "High Havoc" and "Out Of Here" drew on their unifying love of 60s and 70s TV themes and film soundtracks. Corduroy supported Blur, Pulp and Supergrass at Alexandra Palace in 1994 at the height of the Brit-Pop scene. The same year they were voted second best live act of 1994 in Melody Maker. Corduroy were formed by Scott & Ben Addison from the remnants of art-yob band Boys Wonder along with ex-Doctor and the Medics bassist Richard Searle and Jazz guitarist Simon Nelson-Smith.
2018's new album "The Return Of The Fabric Four" is reminiscent of a Johnny Pate or Quincy Jones soundtrack and welcomes back Corduroy who are playing an extensive UK tour for the first time since the 1990's.
