The BEAM Awards, a groundbreaking ceremony honouring the best of BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) talent across the UK.
In 2016, the BEAM Awards are set to make a statement to over 50 million proud Brits as ITV confirm they will broadcast coverage of the spectacular ceremony. The BEAM Awards will take centre stage at the iconic London Palladium on October 12th to celebrate and showcase the best and brightest new faces in the UK’s thriving BAME scene, alongside a host of established UK and international names.
The contract with ITV will assist BEAM in pioneering influential figures in the world of Celebrity, Sport, Film, Music, journalism, Politics and Business, aiming to profile, empower and acknowledge their extraordinary triumphs within the UK. This unprecedented event will see an impressive array of minorities gaining recognition for their stellar achievements.
If ever there was a time to celebrate and elevate the truly staggering diverse talent the UK has to offer, it is now. The BEAM Awards will increase visibility of BAME communities both on and off screen, demonstrating an outstanding devotion to enhancing a society built upon equality, diversity and inclusion.
With the aim to bring communities together and highlight the phenomenal achievements of BAME icons nationwide, The BEAM Awards will secure partnerships to strengthen ties between minority groups, and send out a positive memorandum across all platforms to showcase high profile influencers.
As the first ceremony of its kind to be broadcast by a mainstream channel, the awards are set to mark a significant occasion for the diversity agenda. With a fundamental passion to drive change, The BEAM Awards are making great strides to make a lasting and sustainable difference across the media industry and beyond.
