Les Miserables Poster

After a brief relocation to the Gielgud Theatre, Les Misérables is now back where it belongs (albeit under a new name).

Les Mis moved to the Gielgud in the Summer whilst it’s long time home of The Queens Theatre underwent renovations. Along with a revamp of the theatre also comes a name change to the Sondheim Theatre, named after the legendary composer and lyricist.

The renaming of the Queen’s Theatre to the Sondheim follows the renaming of the former Henry Miller’s Theater on Broadway, which became the Stephen Sondheim Theatre in 2010. This makes Sondheim the only living person to have a both a West End and Broadway theatre named after them.
