I received my newsletter from the National Theatre this morning. The new season starts in January, and includes Man & Superman, Dara, The Hard Problem and Rules for Living.

Man & Superman sees the return of Ralph Feines in the role of Jack Tanner. The play, written by George Bernard Shaw, provides questions about the way we live.

It opens on 17th†February, at the Lyttleton theatre, with preview prices from £15.00.

Dara is set in†1659 in Mughal India, at the imperial court – a place of much opulence. This production is†Tanya Ronderís adaptation of Shahid Nadeemís Dara.

Dara opens on 20th†January, also at the Lyttleton theatre, and preview ticket prices start at £15.00.

The Hard Problem opens at the Dorfman theatre, on 21st January, with preview tickets available now from £15.00.

This is Tom Stoppard’s first stage play since Rock ‘n’ Roll in 2006 and is also his first for the National since the trilogy The Coast of Utopia in 2002.

Rules for Living is a new play by Sam Holcroft, and opens on 13th March at the Dorfman theatre. Ticket prices range from £15 – £40 with reduced prices for preview.

The extended family meets in the kitchen for Christmas lunch … accusations will fly, resentments will out, relationships will fall apar … the rules take over.
