Superstars on Stage

Sep 29, 2015

Well, it’s all happening in London’s West End on stage isn’t it?  We had Benedict Cumberbatch in Hamlet – causing all sorts of crazy ticket sales and prices.  I wrote on our Facebook page a while back that tickets were reportedly fetching up to £1500 EACH!!  We still have tickets available as a package with a hotel, but I don’t believe there are any ticket-only tickets now available.

Now we have Glenn Close causing a storm with her appearance in Sunset Boulevard at the London Coliseum from 1st April to 7th May 2016. I have no knowledge at the moment whether that season will extend beyond that very limited period.  Tickets are currently on sale from a very reasonable £32, but if demand starts to increase drastically who knows what they will end up at?

We also have award-winning Pixie Lott who will be starring in Breakfast at Tiffanys, also next year – June to Sept is the current period for which we have tickets on sale. Pixie will play the role of Holly Golightly (played by Audrey Hepburn in the iconic film of the 1960s). Tickets currently start at just £20.

Singing superstars in abundance in Memphis the Musical with both Beverley Knight and Matt Cardle currently starring. Tomorrow sees a flash sale bringing big discounts on tickets for Memphis, but this show has seen very good ticket sales since its opening, and won 2 Olivier Awards in 2015, with 10 nominations!  Sadly, Beverley Knight’s last performance will be on Saturday 17th October 2015, so if you want to see the queen of British soul in all her glory, get tickets now! Prices start at a very sensible £25, with lower prices in the flash sale tomorrow!

Beverley will move to Cats from October in a strictly limited run of the famous Andrew Lloyd Webber show from 23 Oct to 2 Jan 2016 at the London Palladium. Ticket prices start at £26.

Imelda Staunton is currently starring in Gypsy at the Savoy theatre, but only until 28 November. According to the press, she  delivers a “knock-out performance” (The Independent) as Momma Rose in Jonathan Kent’s “dazzling revival” (Mail on Sunday) of this gloriously entertaining musical fable, that features “showstopping” (Mail on Sunday) choreography from Stephen Mear.  Tickets are currently on sale from £32.
