Another of our new shows in the new season at the Lyric Hammersmith is Terror, which will run over the summer from 23rd June to 15th July 2017.

This is the UK premiere of Ferdinand von Schirach’s debut play, a courtroom drama where the audience give their verdict, “guilty” or “not guilty.”

The outline of the court case is that of a passenger plane hijacking by terrorists who change course towards a sports stadium containing 70,000 football fans. The Eurofighter pilot must decide – shoot it down or not?

The question of whether one human life is worth more than another is raised, when, if ever, is the right thing to sacrifice fewer lives to save a larger tragedy. 164 lives on a passenger jet, or 70,000 at an international football match – and who’s responsibility is that decision?

Enter the courtroom. Hear the evidence. Make your judgement.

Guilty. Not Guilty. You, the audience, Decide.

This play has been stirring debates across the globe. This production at the Lyric Hammersmith is directed by Sean Holmes and designed by Anna Fleischle.

Terror at the Lyric Hammersmith tickets are now on sale from just £25.
